NEW GAME!  ;D ;D ;D

lol The slightly inappropriate naming is back.  :P

Going back to 3rd person, multiplayer (co-op?), PSN download.

Also, more info on the HD collection US release date and the surprise coming in the next few weeks.

http://www.insomniacgames.com/ratchet-clank-return-to-psn-this-fall-in-ratchet-clank-full-frontal-assault/

It looks like Ratchet's look is going to be a mix of A4O and ToD perhaps, though looks a little more A4O still.  Also, he's holding the RYNO.  Which version of the RYNO are we up to now? VI?  :P

love it!  A nicely priced co-op R&C download sounds perfect.  I always thought All4One could be fun but couldn't justify the price.

Full Frontal Assualt is called Q-Force in Europe.  Looks like there's gonna be a teamup with Quark again?  I wonder if Al will be back.  :P

All good news - that should give us just enough time to replay all the originals before the new one is released.

The remastrered collection has been delayed in Europe to June and it sounds like the US release of same will be bought forward if they're now talking about summer - so maybe not too long for you folks to wait after all.

Based in North Carolina - is Spaceboy not telling us something...?   ;D

I suppose the tower defence element is in response to all those past game critics (no idea about the fans - never been near a fan forum for R&C) saying that the game basically hasn't changed at all in its gameplay.

What they're talking about here seems to be similar to what Space mentioned about Starhawk though - maybe it won't be so bad then...

reposting that link, plus I had forgotten until reading that article and comments that this was going to be PSN download with a price more around $15 like QFB as opposed to a $60 game like ACiT.  This is a done deal for me then for sure!

Gameplay
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uET6degrmBg&feature=youtu.be&a

I'm not particularly excited for it, but I'll still get it.  Lately they've been emphasizing the worst parts from the games since it came to PS3 when they used to remove the parts that didn't work in the old games.  For this it's definitely going to be the standing around in one area defending wave after wave of enemies instead of working your way through a large interesting area with tons of secret areas to explore (yawn) and the constant talking from the characters while playing got really obnoxious in A4O, especially since they're pretty lame and repeat like crazy.

I had a laugh though because that tank, before it turns into a robot, looks a hell of a lot like the tank in the MvM TF2 update that just released (which is also defend from robots).  :D

That's parallel development for you - makes it fun though to see how different games handle a similar idea.

A shame about thre being no health bar or other hud details in that vid - I'd like to see how heavily those tanks hit.

I did try this the other night but couldn't get into a game with anyone.  I did the tutorial, well, most of it.  It played much like other R&C games to me.  I just ran around blasting stuff.  :P  I gotta find the time to try it out online again.
